Haymon Boynton, Jr., 65, of Hastings, FL was born December 31, 1953 to Haymon Boynton, Sr. and Nobie Lee Wiggins. On March 13, 2019, he passed away due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Haymon was a lifelong resident of Hastings where he attended public schools and was a faithful member of the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church; there he sang in the Male Chorus. Haymon loved this church and telling of the goodness of God, he would often minister a message in song wherever and whenever he could “CLEAN UP”.  Since the age of 14, Haymon loved farming, he was a contractor/entrepreneur by trade and loved his cabbage fields. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and cooking for them. Haymon was an avid fisherman and he loved working on cars and tractors.  He was a man of faith and wasn’t a stranger to anyone he met. Anyone who knew Haymon knows once he started talking about the bible and God the tears would flow and the passion he had inside would show up. God in his infinite wisdom and mercy called Haymon Boynton Jr from his earthly home to his eternal home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. We, his family, thank God for the time He allowed us to have with Haymon and we rejoice in the life that he lived.

Haymon is preceded in death by: His Parents: Haymon Boynton, Sr. and Nobie Lee Wiggins; Brothers: Eddie Williams, Kenneth Boynton and Aldolpus Boynton; Sister: Clytie Boynton.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His Loving and Devoted Wife: Kathy Boynton, East Palatka, FL; Sons: Haymon Boynton III, Tarrell Boynton, both of Bradenton, FL, Kenneth “Bo Bo” (Yolanda) Boynton, Hastings, FL, Ray Royal Hastings, FL; Daughters: Lacy Williams, Opelika, AL, Denise Hughes, East Palatka, FL, Shatena McCaskill, East Palatka, FL; Sisters: Elizabeth Boynton-Davis, Hawthorne, FL, Patricia Lee Williams, East Palatka, FL, Stephanie Isaac, Hastings, FL; Mother: Julia Mae Boynton, Hastings, FL; Mother in-law: Mattie Bell Battles, Orange Mills, FL; Aunt: Edna Boynton, Sanderson, FL and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration will be 3;00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019 at The Lord’s Temple City of Refuge Inc., Bishop Thomas Cave III, Pastor.  Elder Abram Jones, Eulogist.  The viewing will be from 6:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Rick and Karon Torrence, Pastors.  The burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Federal Point, FL.
