Earl, I am reflecting on our school days and fondly remembering how Ms. Viola served as a mother figure for a number of us. She did not mind bringing correction to any of us who stepped out of line while in her presence. What a lady! While I cannot feel the depth of your pain, please know that I do share in your sorrow, and I am praying for you and your family.

We're so sorry to hear you are suffering the loss of your dear loved one. May you find strength and some comfort in the words found in Psalms 9:9, which reads: “Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). He also has made the provision of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55:11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at JW.ORG

Heartfelt condolences are extended to the Mayo and Sledge families. "Mama Viola" as I affectionately called her will be sorely missed by me, my daughter and grandchildren as she transitions into her heavenly home. I will forever cherish our fond memories of traveling together to family holiday gatherings in Fayetteville, NC and our fellowship during her frequent visits to the Washington, DC area, my adopted home. Thank you for being such a loving grandmother to both my daughters. I will continue to love and miss you and pray your family's strength in the Lord until we meet again in our eternal home. With Love, Gwendolyn Bobbitt Dickerson
