Antonio Otero, 64, a longtime resident of T. or C., died at his home on Monday, March 11, 2019.  He was born on November 15, 1955 in Socorro, NM to Frank and Mary (Garcia) Otero. 

Antonio served in the U.S. Army. He had a Birch Street studio where he was a carpintero (carpenter) and santero.  He was the Little League Coach for the Red Socks and was involved in athletics in T. or C.

Survivors include his children – Antonio Otero, Joey Otero, Matthew Otero and Brittany Otero; step-children - Lilly Newling, John Newling, Rachel Crosse, and Corrine Moorehead; mother, Mary Otero; grandchildren – Naida and Jaylin Newling, Jadon, Josiah, Abigail, Rebekah, Elizabeth and Jonathan Crosse; and siblings – Roseanna, Ida, Tommy, Julie, Dinnie, Michael, Sarah, Nina, Cindy and Juanita Otero.  He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Otero; aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends.

Tony, there is never enough time.  Rest in peace.  Your wisdom, sarcasm and views on the world will be truly missed.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Celebration Service will be held at a later date.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).     Lo siento mucho que están pasendo momentos muy difíciles. Esperó que las palabras de Salmos 46:1 puede dar a ustedes fuerza que se necesita. Dice : "Dios es para nosotros refugio y fuerza, una ayuda que puede hallarse prontamente durante angustias." Que bondadoso esta nuestro Dios. También, el ha hecho la promesa que va a haber una resurección aquí en la tierra cuando sea transformado en un paraíso! (Salmos 37:9-11, 29; Hechos 24:15). Eso no es sólo un sueño, pero algo muy cierto, porque Isaias 55:11 nos asegura que todo lo que Dios dice, se cumple sin falta.
