Home going celebration for Mr. Reginald Nathan Ford, 53, will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Cropwell. Reverend Cameron Thomas is the pastor. Bishop Diane McMillian is the eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Ford will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. There will not be a visitation for Mr. Ford.

Mr. Reginald Nathan Ford was born on January 19, 1966 to the union of Nathaniel Moss and Frances Ballard Ford in Ashland, Alabama.

At an early age, Mr. Ford became a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Ashland, Alabama and later united with Righteousness and Truth Ministries of Sylacauga, Alabama where he served as a minister and guitarist. He became a licensed minister at Freewill Worship Center in Goodwater, Alabama. Reginald was a graduate of Clay County High School and employee of the city of Pell City. At a young age, he learned brick masonry among many other skills. He spent his free time cooking, singing, serving as a musician, planting flowers and enjoying life. On October 23, 1998, Reginald and the former Doris Estell united in holy matrimony.

On the morning of Saturday, March 9, 2019, Mr. Ford joined the Heavenly choir. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Nathaniel Moss and Frances Ford; and grandparents, John Alf and Etta Ballard.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of 20 years, Doris Ford of Vincent, Alabama; two daughters, Patrice Sharday Brooks of Indianapolis, Indiana and Colisia Massengale of Auburn, Alabama; five sons, Reginald Lindsey of Atlanta, Georgia, Shondedric Boyd of Lineville, Alabama, Rajae Ford of Vincent, Alabama, Manteze Estell of Pell City, Alabama and Garry Estell of Oxford, Alabama; eight grandchildren; eleven sisters, Lisa (Billy) Simmons of Goodwater, Alabama, LaCheryle Swain of Alpine, Alabama, Shirley Ford of Ashland, Alabama, Valerie D. Ford of Anniston, Alabama, Latonia (Carlos) Storey of Oxford, Alabama, Diane “Big Chop” Watkins and Krystal Ford of Chicago, Illinois, Marcella (Willie) Henderson of Tuskegee, Alabama, Berlisher Mitchell of Montgomery, Alabama, Vetta (Charles) Moss and Annie (Henry) Moss of Tuskegee, Alabama; seven brothers, Nathaniel Moss, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, Eric Moss and Martin Moss of Montgomery, Alabama, Anthony (Debra) Moss of Prattville, Alabama, Leroy (Shaneika) Moss of Montgomery, Alabama, Terrence Moss of Tuskegee, Alabama and Tyrone (Anette) Ford of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die.
