I wanted to express my sympathies to the Hunter family. I'm so sorry for your loss. During difficult times like this, we all need comfort. That comfort can come from the Bible, through prayer, from family and friends. But the ultimate source of comfort comes from Almighty God, Jehovah. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 speaks, in part, of "the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." Copy and paste the following link in the browser to be directed to an article entitled, "Where Can You Find Comfort?" It considers how God provides such comfort. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/watchtower-no5-2016-september/#?insight[search_id]=15989af5-9867-4eca-b8d5-029765b2874e&insight[search_result_index]=1

I am sorry for the death of your dear loved one. Death is an enemy to all of us that take those we love and leave much pain in our hearts. In the Bible at Psalm 34:18 it tells us that: "Jehovah God is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Yes, soon all pain, suffering and death will be no more. (Revelation 21:4)

We are saddened to know you are grieving the recent loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in the words found in Psalms 34:18 which reads: “ Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15 Isaiah 55;11). See and imagine yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at JW.ORG
