Miss Dedra Demour Applewhite, 54, of Bassfield, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  She is the daughter of the late Lee Ester Applewhite and Mr. Willie J. Keys.  She was a member of Holly Springs C.M.E. Church, Bassfield, MS.  

She was a former coiler at KLH Industries.  She loved gardening, helping elderly, being a grandparent and fellowship with friends and family.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Holly Spring C.M.E. Church at 1pm.  Interment will be in Wheeler Cemetery.  

She is survived by:  son, Dexter Pounds of Bassfield, MS; daughters, I'yanna Applewhite of Gulfport, MS and Shantaie Applewhite of Bassfield, MS; father, Willie J. Keys of Bassfield, MS; brothers, Lawrence Keys and Ricky Keys both of Bassfield, MS; sisters, Annette Keys, Inez Keys, and Shanelle Keys all of Bassfield, MS; Cynthia Keys of Sumrall, MS;  grandchildren: 5

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm; family hour: 6-8pm and Wednesday at the church, 12-1pm.
