Katherine Crawford was born in Mount Holly, North Carolina on June 2, 1931 to the late Birdie and Wesley Crawford.  She was the last of their ten children to survive until she was called home to be with the Lord on Friday; February 15, 2019; 1:00 a.m. in the morning at The Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC.

Katherine received her formal education in the Mount Holly, North Carolina School System.

At an early age, Katherine left Mount Holly, NC where she was a faithful member of the Macedonia Baptist Church Family to move to Boston, Mass; and never joined or belonged to any other church during her time outside of the state of North Carolina.  During her years in Boston, Mass, she worked for Raytheon Electronics for over forty years.  She also became a dedicated member of the Eastern Stars.

Katherine fell ill in Boston, Mass; and approximately five years ago due to her illness she returned to her roots back to Mount Holly, NC, and reinstated her membership with the Macedonia Baptist Church family.

Katherine dearly loved her family and friends, but most of all, she loved the Lord!!!

Left to mourn and cherish Katherine’s memories are her two children: daughter, Glenice “Dee” Crawford, her son, Ronald “Abdul-Haqq Muhammad” Crawford; three grandchildren: Aaron (Tracey) Crawford, Safonia Sample, and Oronde Branch; seven great-grandchildren: Maya Crawford, Akinyele Crawford, Chinyelu Crawford,  Darrius Sample, Leslee Branch, Oronde Branch, Jr., and Christian Branch; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She will be greatly missed but remembered by all who knew and loved her!

Funeral: Saturday; February 23, 2019; 12 noon; Macedonia Baptist Church-1951 Stanley Lucia Road, Mt. Holly

Visitation: one hour before the service at the church

Interment: Macedonia Church Cemetery, Mt. Holly

Our warmest sympathies goes to you and yours in these difficult moments. May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.

May you find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about him and bring him back again.”As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.”—1 Corinthians 15:26.
