Youngstown, A home going celebration in honor of Mrs. Grace Lee Earvin Hills will be held Saturday February 2, 2019 at 11am at Greater Friendship Baptist Church.

Mrs.Hills  passed away Saturday January 26, 2019 in the comfort of her home.  Mrs Grace Lee Hills departed this life Saturday morning January 26, 2019 in the comfort of her home with her loving son Larry, her caregiver.     

Mrs Hills was born January 13, 1938 in Marie, Arkansas, a daughter of Willie Earvin and Pecola Cummings Earvin Howell.  

Grace was a high school graduate and a licensed manicurist. Her favorite color was blue, just blue she’d say “no prints”. She loved going fishing, gardening, music, doing puzzles, and sewing. She also cooked ribs for C-Staples.  

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her children, Ivory Hills Jr (Eltine) Hampton, Virginia, George Wilson(Judy)Columbus Ohio, Larry Hills (Marcie), Joann Russ(Trent) both of Youngstown, Ohio. Kevin Hills(Joan)Mcdonough, Georgia. And Javon Bennett(Rosa)Emmaus Pennsyvania.  

Her sisters Mary Ann Earvin, Brenda Earvin, Terry Earvin, Savanna Earvin, of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Peggy Earvin, Petersburgh Florida. Madelyn Earvin, Lady Lake Florida. Elzenia Hills, Orene Rhodes, Pecola Hunter,of Youngstown, Ohio. Linda Smith(Lepear)Massillion,Ohio  Her brothers, Larry Earvin, PeeWee Earvin, Michael Earvin,Kip Earvin, of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Robert Ervin, Flint Michigan, and Edward Howell, Greenville South Carolina. She had 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ivory Hills whom she married in 1955, 2 sisters, Helen Marie Earvin and Ellen Howell Young, and 2 brothers Nathaniel Howell, and James Bernard Howell.

Interment will be in Belmont Park Cemetery.
