Ethel Louise (Day) Whitty,56, of Daytona Beach, FL was born to the late Minister Fred Day Sr. and the late Lillian Day-Hall on April 4, 1962 in Daytona Beach, FL.   She was educated in Volusia County Schools and later attended The University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She worked different positions at Shands Hospital for 20+ years.  Ethel was a devoted wife and mother who served as Elite “Only Lady” at Soul Saving Outreach Ministries in High Springs, FL pastored by her husband, Minister Earl D. Whitty. They were together for 45 years. She loved to sing to her family, shop, and enjoy her life in spite of 

 Ethel transitioned to glory surrounded by her family in Valdosta, GA.

 

         Mrs. Ethel L. Whitty is preceded in death by Father Fred Day Sr, Mother Lillian Day-Hall, and Brothers, Fred Day Jr. and James E Day.  

Left to cherish her memory are husband Earl D Whitty ; Daughters: Earlethia Whitty-Watkins (Dameion), Elise Whitty, and Ericka Whitty,Grandchildren: Da’Jean Watkins, Daelan Watkins, Dereon Gaines, Dyeirre Gaines, E’Naiya Watkins, Ezrah Watkins, Jamari Taylor, and E’Lani Watkins; Mother-in-law Donna M Lumpkin, Sisters: Vernell Brown, and Cindy MacDonald(Isom); Brothers: Harold Hill Sr(Lisa), Marvin Day Sr (Sylvia), Ron Day(Aletha), and Johnnie Moore; Devoted friend Tanya Williams;  Special nieces Kateinna Brown-Gardner(Damond), and Tiffany Brown-Rodgers(Daniel), a and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Services to Honor the late Mrs. Ethel Day Whitty will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday the 9th of February 2019  at Community COGIC 400 Henry Butts Drive Daytona Beach, FL 32114.  Public viewing will begin at 10:00am.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Daytona Beach, FL.
