Mr. George Kenneth Bernard Holland was born August 17, 1952 to the late Mrs. Daisy Stringfellow Hopson and the late Mr. George Holland in Gaston County, North Carolina.  He departed this life on Thursday; January 24, 2019 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, North Carolina.

Kenneth was a 1970 graduate of Ashbrook High School in Gastonia, North Carolina.  He retired from Wells Metal in Dallas, North Carolina after thirty-five years of service.  Kenneth loved spending time with his dog, “Sparky.”  He will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle and aunt: Frank and Mary Roseboro.

Kenneth leaves precious memories to his two sons; his cousin: Dennis Mitchell (Ann) of Gastonia, North Carolina; cousins: Linda Roseboro, Ralph Roseboro, Phyllis Clayton of Virginia, and Ms. Pearl Shepard of Baltimore, MD; very special friends and caregivers: Ms. Louise Bates, Ms. Anita Byers and Ms. Carolyn W. Gill-Smith; godson: Malcolm Huitt and a host of other relatives and friends.
 

Funeral: Monday; January 28, 2019; 1:30 p.m.; Gregory Funeral Service Chapel-601 N. York Street, Gastonia

Visitation: thirty minutes before the service at the chapel

Interment: Trinity Unity AME Zion Church Cemetery, Gastonia

    We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. Accept our sincere condolences. May you find strength from the words of Philippians 4:13 which says: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die.
