Annie Ruth” Mae” Green ,93, of Hastings was born August, 25, 1925. She was born in Alabama to her parents Annie Spann and Lee Green who both have preceded her in death. She came to Hastings, Florida where she met Claudine Varnes, they were together 32 years. He preceded her in death. She had one child, Betty Sue Goodson who also preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her Sister, Lillie Mae Calvary, and her Brother, Joe Lee Green, and her grandchild, Zella (Bressa) Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her grandchildren; Antoinette Brown- (Luther) LaBoard, Edward Brown Jr., Randolph (Dwan) Brown, Willette Brown; god granddaughter, Betty (Robert) Davenport; Sisters, Jessie Green, Birdie Mae Session; A favorite niece, Blondeva Fields, Niece, Cynthia Session; nephew, Johnnie Lee Session; A host other nieces, nephew and cousins, and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Mt. Zion A.M.E Church of Hastings, Reverend Steffanie L. Jones, Pastor, and Rev. Roger Williams, Eulogist.  The viewing will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Coleman’s Mortuary Family Chapel.  The burial will be in Pattersonville Cemetery.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
