          Thomas Edward Trejo, 42, a local resident, died on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM.  He was born on October 24, 1976 in El Paso, TX to Pedro Trejo and Patricia Northrup.

          Thomas enjoyed fishing and cooking.  Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Jolene Trejo; daughter, Amber Trejo and husband, Christopher Portillo; 3/grandchildren – Zariah Portillo, Zaiden Portillo and Genesis Portillo; brother, Robert Curry and wife, Kathleen; and sister, Carrie Draughon; uncle, Lonnie Northrup and wife, Vel; nieces – Danielle and Shannon; and nephew, Robert.  He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Trejo; grandfather, Robert Northrup; grandmother, Barbara Northrup; aunt, Melody Northrup; and uncles – Tom Northrup and Robin Northrup.

    Our warmest sympathies goes to you and yours in these difficult moments. May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).     Lo siento mucho que están pasendo momentos muy difíciles. Esperó que las palabras de 2 Corintios 1:3, 4 puede dar a ustedes fuerza que se necesita. Dice : "Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de tiernas misericordias y el Dios de todo consuelo, 4 que nos consuela en toda nuestra tribulación, para que nosotros podamos consolar a los [que se hallan] en cualquier clase de tribulación mediante el consuelo con que nosotros mismos estamos siendo consolados por Dios." Que bondadoso esta nuestro Dios. También, el ha hecho la promesa que va a haber una resurección aquí en la tierra cuando sea transformado en un paraíso! (Salmos 37:9-11, 29; Hechos 24:15). Eso no es sólo un sueño, pero algo muy cierto, porque Isaias 55:11 nos asegura que todo lo que Dios dice, se cumple sin falta.
