Funeral services for Mr. Damion Tanner, 43, will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. Elder Ronald Moten will be the eulogist. Interment will be in Bethel Church Cemetery. 

Mr. Damion Tanner was born on March 13, 1975 to the late Walter Edward Tanner and Geraldine Moten Tanner in Talladega, Alabama.

Mr. Tanner was a graduate of Lithonia High School in Lithonia, Georgia. He possessed many skills and worked as a carpenter, electrician, mechanic, audio stereo technician and plumber. Damion was a member of Carpenter’s Local# 127.

On Monday, January 7, 2019, Mr. Tanner was called to his eternal home. He was welcomed by his daughter, Daniya Antwonique Tanner; fiancée, Veronica Shavon Fluker; father, Walter Edward Tanner; grandparents, Alford Henry Moten, Willie Cleve Tanner and Violet Neomi Keith; great grandmother, Caldonia Evans; and an uncle, William Lewis Tanner. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Danielle LaTrise Tanner of Birmingham, Alabama; two sons, Devin Shakur Tanner of Birmingham, Alabama and Travis Dashawn Thornton of Columbus, Ohio; his mother, Geraldine Tanner of Anniston, Alabama; grandmother, Mary Lee Moten; sister, Sheena Tanner (James) Duff of Atlanta, Georgia; three brothers, Dewaylyn Tanner and Dostne Tanner of Talladega, Alabama and Daricus (Chasittie) Tanner of Anniston, Alabama; a special son that he raised as his own, Deontae Trevon White; special friends, Chervon Tanner, Nikkie Swain, Shaqonia Barclay, Larry Hodges, Tracy Scales, Cynthia Swain and Adrienne Mitchell; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
