Sergeant (Ret.) Charlie Jones, Jr., 75, of Augusta, GA, entered into rest at his residence on Sunday, January 6, 2019. 

He retired from the military after 22 years of service, and retired from the VA Medical Center after 20 years of service. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine M. Jones; children, John E. Jones (Karen), Karla Reddick (Adrian), Mary Jones, Alethia Hudson (Devin), and Angela Williams; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from Restoration Ministries, 2404 Tobacco Rd., Augusta, GA, 30906, Dr. Michael Mitchell. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Public viewing will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the mortuary.
