Kenneth Lawrence Boyce or “K.B.” as he was affectionately called, was born on August 11, 1950 to the late Edna Thompson Boyce and Otha Willie Boyce in Gaston County, North Carolina.  God called him home on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.

K.B. was a former member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.  He later moved his membership to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where he faithfully sent his tithes when he was unable to attend.

K.B. received his education from Highland High School, class of 1968.  He was employed for many years at Firestone Mill and retired from McCleave Construction Company.  

K.B. was preceded in death by his sisters: Alice Faye Boyce and JoAnne Boyce McBryant; brothers: O’que Boyce, W.C. Boyce, Otha Raye Boyce, Donald Boyce, Lonnie Boyce and Bobby Boyce; brother-in-law: Coley Little and one grandchild: Ani’yashaira McEntire.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his daughters: Ronda Glenn (Jeff) and Tondra Boyce, a son: Kenyon McEntire (Tonia); four grandchildren: Johntae Woos, Antwan Cobb, Brittany Burris and Craig Goodson; four great grandchildren; a sister: Betty Little of Kinston, NC; one brother: Thomas Boyce (Kathy) of Baltimore, MD; a very special niece and caretaker: Donna Renee Boyce and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral: Thursday; December 27, 2018; 1:00 p.m.; Mt. Calvary Baptist Church-408 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Gastonia

Visitation: one hour before the service at the church

Interment: Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia
