Obituary 

Sharonda was born on June 26, 1970 in Newark, NJ to the late Percy and Linda Qualls. She graduated from West Side High School in 1988. Sharonda immediately started her journey in the workforce after giving birth to her son (Lawrence) who pushed her to achieve many accomplishments.  She wore many hats during her life. Sharonda was a jack of all trades. She stepped into the field becoming a seamstress, licensed phlebotomist, caterer, and lastly tax preparer. Sharonda was a very driven, ambitious, intelligent, resourceful, friendly, loving, caring, and full of laughter and joy. She brought so many souls to Christ with her infectious words of encouragement and singing. Sharonda begun her singing career as a child where she sang in church along with family and friends. She used her gift to excel from the natural to the supernatural. In 1991, Sharonda was led to join the Revival Temple Maass Choir as a tabernacle junior lead singer. In 1995, Sharonda then decided to start her journey with Grammy Award Winning artist “Hezekiah Walker and Love Fellowship Choir where she traveled all over the world using her voice as a vessel to God. In the late 1990’s, Sharonda begin joining forces with her family choir “ Deliverance Concert Choir” where she sing the title track “I Know God is Able To Carry You Through”. Through her devotion many barriers were broken which later led  her to bring forth another anointed song “Hold On and Wait On Him”. She surrounded herself with love and family. She also took on many roles in her church as a 
“praise and worship leader, missionary , trustee, and  summer camp facilitator. In her last days Sharonda embraced her new role that consisted on taking care of her mother full time which brought her much joy and happiness.

Sharonda departed her life on December 9, 2018 at St. Michaels’ Medical Center in Newark, NJ.

Sharonda is survived by her mother Linda F. Qualls, her husband Robert Knight, youngest daughter Fityra Knight, son Lawrence Qualls, daughter Fatiesha Baskerville, grandchildren, Amari, Kemani, India, Lawrence Jr, and Lyric Qualls, brothers Lyndon E. Qualls , Reggie Qualls, John Qualls, sisters Lucifer Qualls, Tamika Qualls, Shyeeth Qualls, Percella Davis, and a host of nieces nephews, and cousins.
