The funeral services for the late Mr. Clifford Smith of 700 Ashton Place Circle, Apt. #702, Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Macon Regency Hospital in Macon, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia, with Elder Ulysses Teague, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.  Mr. Clifford Smith, Jr. was born on February 10, 1944, in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Ms. Patsy Smith.      He was educated in the Irwin County Public School System at that time.     Clifford worked as a farmer for Jake Sumner Farms.  Clifford Smith, Jr. gave up this busy walk of life on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Macon Regency Hospital in Macon, Georgia. Those that preceded him in death are Mrs. Georgia Mae Whitaker, a son, Larry Smith, children he raised as his own, Terry C. Vail, K.C. Jones, his brothers, Warren Smith, Peyton Smith, have all preceded him in death.      He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Allen Smith; children that he raised as his own, Gwendolyn Holloman, Rickey Phillips, Edna Bell, Dorothy Whitaker, Melissa Elain, Patricia Dawson, Larry Vail, Willie Lee Whitaker; fifty-four grandchildren; a special friend, Betty Davis; favorite cousins, Rat Furgerson, Grady Smith, June Furgerson, Victoria Coley, Sherry Ann Smith, all of Tifton, Georgia, Willie Mae Owens of Florida; and a host of other relatives and friends.
