Mr. Bernard Scott, 66, formerly of Harlem, GA, son of the late Harold M. Scott, Sr., and Willie R. Scott, departed this life Thursday, December 6, 2018. 

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Burley; a step daughter, Clarise Billings; two sisters, Vivian S. McNeil and Ruby O'Bannon; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Piney Grove Baptist Church, Dearing, GA. Interment will be in Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

Public viewing will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 at the mortuary.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
