Lavert Durden, 28, of St. Augustine was born August 14,1990 in St. Augustine to April M. Kornegay and Lavert Nicholson.   In June 2004, he later moved to Panama City with his family.  On July 13,2017 Lavert earned his High School Diploma. Lavert loved sports such as football. His favorite color was sky blue. In his personal time, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved nieces & nephews. He had the most beautiful smile.  Lavert succumbed this life on Friday 16, 2018.

 Lavert leaves behind: his mother, April M. Sherman and father Carl Samuel Sherman;  grandmother, his beloved brothers and sisters, a host of nieces & nephews, and a loving girlfriend (unborn child), also a host of aunts and uncles and countless cousins and  loving family & friends. 

The viewing will be 5 -6 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at New Beginning Christian Assembly Inc. (3605 Lewis Speedway, St. Augustine, FL 32084) Rev. Debra Proctor, Pastor.

    Our warmest sympathies goes to you and yours in these difficult moments. May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
