David Edwards Sr.,55, of Bunnell was born on Tuesday, December 4, 1962 to the late David and Bobbie Jean Edwards Sr. in Bradenton FL.  David attended Flagler – Palm Coast High School.  He was employed as a lawn and maintenance man in Palatka.  David was joined in unity with Stephanie in which 2 beautiful daughters was conceived; Naomi and Sarah Edwards of Palatka.  He was also a faithful member of Tree of Life Ministries in Palatka under the leadership of Pastor Dorothy Moody.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pearl and Emmanuel Gipson.

He leaves to mourn: children, Malik (Denbury) Jones, Sarah and Naomi Edwards; sisters, Susan (Raliegh) Gipson, Rose (Joe) Garnett; brother, Michael (Belinda) Davis; Godmother, Pastor Dorothy Moody; nieces, Anita (Troll) Johnson, Shalita Garrett, Jasmine Bailey; nephew, Juan (Cheryl) Gipson, and a host of great nephews, nieces, cousins and sorrowing friends.

The viewing will be 6-7 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at Coleman’s Mortuary Family Chapel. The Homegoing Celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Frank Giddens Sr., Pastor.  Pastor Dorothy Moody, Eulogist.  Burial will be at a later date in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast.

    We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. May you find strength from the words of Philippians 4:13 which says: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
