James A. Ragland,66, of Gadsden, died Tuesday, November 13,2018.

Funeral services for Mr. James A. Ragland will be held Saturday, November 17,2018 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church @ 1:00 pm 
Family Hour- Friday, November 16, 2018 @ 5pm-6pm.

James Albert Ragland was born on August 7, 1952 to the late Jessie Jr. Ragland and the late Hattie Bell Wiggs Ragland.

James accepted Christ at an early age and United with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W.H. Granger .

James attended Norris High School in Attalla, Al where he played football and ran track.

James worked at the Pipe Shop and Culps in Attalla, Al.

James is proceeded in death by his parents, one wife Millie Faye Graves Ragland, Willie Samuel Ragland, Evelyn Ann Ragland Hamilton, Charles Edward Ragland, Judy Faye Ragland, and Fletcher Jessie James Jr. Ragland.

James leaves to cherish six kids First Born Daughter: Jamie (Greg) Rudolph, Elisa Marrie, Torlonia Marrie, Sophia Ragland, James Ragland Jr., and, Jessie Marrie all of Gadsden, AL. Two Brothers: Alford (Yolonda) Ragland, and Jimmy Lee (Felicia) Ragland. Three Devoted Sisters: Doris Ann Green, Annie Bell Ragland, and Linda Gail Ragland all of Gadsden, Al. One Aunt: Ms. Ella Mae Giles. 18 Grandchildren: Darius, Dante, Jamia, JaMichael, Tabitha, Jessica, Donna, Mason, DeJuan, Jamal, J’Quaria, Jaryus, Corey, Jatyrah, Takara, Aaliyah, Zykiria, and Zariyah. 9 Greatgrandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special cousin and friend, Patricia Jones Brent. Special Niece, Quinteria Ellis.
