My sympathies to the Wood family. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's no way to really describe the pain one feels when he or she loses a loved one in death. Feelings of sadness and grief can be so overwhelming during this time of mourning. However, comfort from the scriptures can give you hope. John 5:28,29 speaks of the promise of the resurrection hope. What this can mean for your family is a real hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones at a time when "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4) May the God of all comfort be with you during this difficult time.

To family and friends my deepest sympathies to you for the loss of your love. Losing a loved one in death is very painful. Almighty God Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) promise that he will resurrect millions of people who have died. "And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 26:19 "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous." These are the words of Jesus Christ at John 5:28,29. Learn more about the resurrection hope and how Jesus is going to make God's wonderful promises come true at jw.org. May the God of all comfort and tender mercies sustain you at this difficult time. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
