Mrs. Allie  Clemons, affectionally known as Polly was born on January 2, 1943 in Lamar County, GA  to the parentage of the late Sally Kate Brown-Callaway and the late Allen Brown.

Polly was educated in the Lamar County School System. At an early age, she decided to give her life to Christ and joined the East Mount Sinai Baptist Church.

Polly lived a life full of joy and happiness with many people that truly loved her. Her family and friends were blessed to have her in their life. They also enjoyed her delicious southern cooking and family gatherings. She was the best cook around and everyone for miles loved her food.

On Monday, October 1, 2018, God sent his loving angels to quietly bring his loved one home. Polly’s loud jovial spirit is now in the Holy Kingdom of God’s everlasting love. She was preceded in death by three children: Renita Brown, Floyd Brown, and Lloyd Sullivan: and seven siblings: Ida Mae Knowles, Francis Brown, Otis Larry Brown, Marie Brown, Robert Brown, Sarah Ann Murphy and Elaine McGuire.

Polly leaves to cherish her loving memories one son, Tony (Dianne) Clemons of Barnesville, GA; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Sullivan of Barnesville, GA; two grandsons, that she raised as her own, Nicholas (LaStasha) Brown of Stockbridge, GA, and Trevor Colby Brown of Barnesville , GA; one sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Brown of Griffin, GA; five grandchildren, Fiona Washington, Jaquita Johnson, and Latoya Grier of Forsyth, GA and Ashland Sullivan and Morishio Webb of Barnesville,GA; fourteen great-grandchildren; two nieces, Dana Lowe of Stockbridge, GA and Adriane Brown of Griffin, GA; six nephews, Wilmon Murphy, and Terry Murphy of Atlanta, GA, William Murphy of  McDonough, GA, Anthony Brown, Darren Brown, and Shauney Brown of Griffin, GA; two  devoted friends, Janie Fambro  and Annie Mae Harris; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends who  will miss her dearly.
