Tommy Christopher Upshaw, 60, was born June 28, 1958 in Chickamauga, GA to the late Lewis and Bessie Upshaw. He entered into eternal peace and rest on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He was educated in the Walker County School system. He was a construction worker and a veteran of the United States Navy. Tommy enjoyed watching television, especially sports and the Tennessee VOLS. He also enjoyed dining out at various restaurants. He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Bessie Upshaw; grandparents, Addie Lee and Willie Turner, Patterson and Emma Upshaw; and sister, Connie Upshaw. He leaves to cherish his precious memories two brothers, Stanley Upshaw, Chattanooga, TN and Glenn Upshaw, Stone Mtn., GA; three nieces, Elizabeth (Stacy) Stamper, Chattanooga, TN,      Martina (Gerald) Harris, Chattanooga, TN, Erica (Michael) Smith, Indianapolis, ID; one nephew, Nicholas Wesley, Charlotte, NC; three aunts, Carolyn Mathis, Chickamauga, GA, Minnie Turner, Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Blanche Turner, Chickamauga, GA; and three uncles, Hewitt Turner, Chattanooga, TN, William (Joyce) Turner, Yorktown, VA, and Sherman (Peggy) Turner,  Atlanta, GA; dear friend, Janie Strickland; a host of other relatives and friends.   The body will lie in state after 12 noon Thursday, October 11, 2018 with visitation from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. at the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, October 12th in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Kevin Adams officiating.  Interment:  Chattanooga National Cemetery.  Arrangements by John P.
