John Luther Thames, 78, died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Miami Jewish Health Hospital, Miami, FL.  He was born August 21, 1940 in Manning, SC, a son of the late Deacon Luther Thames and Victoria Dingle Thames.

Funeral services for Mr. Thames will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Elizabeth Baptist Church, 4829 Alex Harvin Highway, Manning, SC, Rev Terry R. Johnson, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the church yard cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Friday, September 21st from 12:00 Noon until 7:00 PM and the  family will receive friends on Friday, September 21st  from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home and after 7:00 PM at the home of his sister, Naomi Blair, 1034 Virginia Court, Manning, SC.
