Mr. Eddie Leon Seigle, 69, son of the late Everett Leon "Snookie" Reid and Dorothy Mae Seigle transitioned on Friday, September 7th 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Eddie was a 1968 graduate of Reid High School, which later changed to Holbrook High in Gastonia, North Carolina, where he played Football and Baseball. He joined the United States Army in 1969. After his tour in the Army/Vietnam War, he furthered his education at Gaston College, Dallas, North Carolina. He worked with the Gaston County School system and also worked as a custodian in Gastonia, North Carolina. He then started his own business, Seigle Security. Eddie later retired from Homeland Security. 
Eddie was a lifelong and faithful member of New Testament Church of God, which later became New Life Church in Lowell, NC where he served faithfully as a Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, and Deacon. 

Eddie was preceded in death by one brother; Rev. Daryl G. Reid Sr., a sister; Vanessa R. Starks, and a daughter; Sherry J. Spencer Seigle.

He leaves to cherish is memories; his wife of 48 years, Ruby J. Spencer Seigle, his children; Schron L. Seigle, Pamela Seigle Patterson (Brian), all of Gastonia, NC; Darek L. Seigle (Renata), of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, two grand-daughters: Sonya D. Spencer and Presheonia Seigle Patterson of Charlotte NC; three grandsons: Dominque L. Spencer; Chevis Seigle and Michael R. Dover Jr of Gastonia, NC; one great grand-daughter; Isabella A. Spencer of Gastonia, NC, one brother: Stracy Fair of Gastonia, NC; six sisters; Eliza Williamson of Lowell, North Carolina; Lettie Ann Taylor of Greensboro, North Carolina; Mary Irene Stowe (Eugene) of Gastonia, NC; Pamela D.  Reid of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Sharon Crawford of Gastonia, North Carolina, and June R Davis of Gastonia, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral: Saturday; September 15, 2018; 1:30 p..; Destiny Church-3723 York Hwy, Gastonia

Visitation: one hour before the service at the church

Interment: Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia

NOTE: Service will be on Saturday depending on weather conditions.
