Funeral services for Mr. William "Bill" Coats will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at the Galilee Baptist Church, the Rev. Dr. G.E. Robinson Sr. officiating.

Interment is at Mount Zion Cemetery, Turkeytown. West Gadsden Funeral Home is directing.

Public visitation is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family hour is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Galilee Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories three lovely daughters: Rena Flambo, Birmingham, Tina (Wilbert), Katrena Flambo, Gadsden; two sisters, Gertie (Jack) Lowe, Gadsden, Tonita (Arthur) Colington, Rochester, New York; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
