Dear Gerrilyn & Damion Sumlin, Sr. & Children: Deeply sorry to hear of the tragic passing of your precious and dearly loved Mother Harriet Sumlin . In the Lord’s prayer, we pray that God’s Kingdom “Come.” That government by God will make the whole earth a paradise, with no more sickness. By means of an earthly resurrection, we will be reunited with our loved ones, (Isaiah 33:24 & John 5:28-29.) More comfort, please see jw.org, J Jones

I am so sorry to hear of the your loss. Death is truly an enemy. (1 Cor 15:26) However, this verse contains the hope that we all look forward to when this enemy “will be brought to nothing.” Until that time, be assured that your pain is shared by many, including God, who makes the promise to “swallow up death in victory”. (Isaiah 25:8) May this hope comfort you in your time of grief.

My sincere condolences to the family. A comforting scripture is recorded at John 11: 39-44,This scripture shows how Jehovah God, resurrected humans in the past and he can certainly do it again in the future. To learn more about this please visit our website at www.jw.org. The 23 Psalm is also a very comforting scripture.

Our hearts aches in knowing you are mourning the recent loss of your dear loved one. We hope you can find comfort in the words found in Holy writing, in Psalms 9:9 which reads: “ 9 Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise. See and imagine yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at JW.ORG
