John T. Davis, Sr. was born May 17, 1935. Called to be with the Lord on August 13, 2018. Devoted father of Theresa Davis Beatty, Donna Davis, L'Tanya Davis, John T. Davis, Jr., Stefan (Natalie) Turner and Kelvin (Teresa) Turner. One sister Jeanene Ford. A man that never knew a stranger. He retired after 28 years at Link Belt. He served in the United States Army, a former Deacon at First Baptist Church, Danville and a mason. He lettered in football, basketball and baseball. He even tried to make the squad for the World Champs St. Louis Cardinals in the 1950's.

    We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29).
