Marva Smith was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.  She devoted her life to taking care of everyone around her.  Whenever someone needed her, she would not hesitate to help.  

Marva Smith was a dependable, hardworking person whose goal was giving her family the best life she could.  Now, the Lord called her home to take her long deserved rest and to be able to observe the fruits of her labor and all that she has done for us.  

She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Fannie Bell Tucker Smith; her siblings: Frederick Smith, Diane Hardy, and James Smith and her granddaughter: Ashley Adams.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter: Kathy Adams, her sister: Ella Smith, grandson: Taylor and a niece: Andrea Smith-Jenkins, along with many other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Memorial Service: Friday; August 17, 2018; 2:00 p.m.; at the home of her daughter-1473 Brett Shane Court, Gastonia

    Cousin Ella, so sorry to learn of "Pie" passing, just found out last night from cousin Sally. Will be praying that the Lord will give you and Kathy the strength to get thru this. Ella, I know its hard, but I will continue to keep you and your niece in my daily prayers. Love You!!

    We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. May you find strength from the words of Philippians 4:13 which says: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
