Reflections of Life

Mrs. Mattie Ruth Vaughn Boyce

Mattie grew up and attended school in Barnesville, she enjoyed cooking, Hosting events for family and friends as well as singing.  Mattie began singing in church at an early age and later traveled singing and performing with the likes of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. Mattie later moved to Cleveland, OH, where she married the late Hubert Boyce. She also completed nursing training and worked with the elderly as a STNA for many years.

Mattie was an outspoken colorful individual that always opened her heart and home to anyone in need. She enjoyed being around her family and  friends, and she loved to share  a pot of greens and “dressing”. Mattie’s favorite dish seemed to always be on the stove. She will truly be missed.

We're so sorry to hear you are grieving the loss of your dear loved one. May you find strength and some comfort in the words found in Nahum 1:7 which reads: ”Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). He also has made the provision of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise. Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at JW.ORG
