Obituary
Mother Jessie Mae Owens Walker was born to the late Jessie & Fannie Owens on September 3, 1924 in Upson County, GA. She was married to the late O.C. Walker on August 23, 1956.
Jessie worked as a nurse’s aid in New York, Miami and Lake County area. She later became a Special Needs Bus Driver for the Lake County School Board and was greatly adorned by her students. She was a member of St. James AME, Eustis, FL, in the late 50’s. She joined St Johm IFMC, Tavares FL, under the leadership of the late C.A. Ashley in the early 70’s. Jessie also faithfully attended Macedonia IFMC, Apopka Florida. She also mentored D’Miah Jackson.
She was a proud member of the following auxiliaries, clubs, and/ or groups: Missionary, Stewardess, Choir, Golden Girls Ushers, Prayer, Bible Study & Sunday School Attendee at St. John IFMC, The Criterions Civic Club,Inc. of Eustis and Eustis Golden Seniors “Breakfast & Bingo.”
She leaves to cherish her memories;
Beloved Son & Daughter; Mr. and Mrs. Rev. Clarence W. Bivins Jr. and Curtin Bivins. God Sons: Pernell L. Johnson and she raised the late Allen Wilder (Skip) as her child, Sisters-in-Law: Mrs. Mittie Lee Evens, Mrs. Christine Ivory, Mrs. Mildred Monroe(Willie), Mrs. Bernice Walker, Mrs. Ophella Williams, Mrs. Jackie Walker, and Mrs. Yvonne Walker. Devoted Cousins: Ella Owens, Monica Owens &Zoe Prevost. Cousins: Emma Maudie Lyon, Willie Ann Wilson, & the Durham Family of Eustis, Florida and Georgia. Nephew: Willie Walker Aunt: Margret Smith. Special Friends: Rubye Ashley, Mary Mason, Blondie Cody, Doris Birdsong, Storma Pallard & Annie J. Ramirez. A long with a host of other sorrowing friends.
