Mr. Alton Lewis Brown, 58, of Albany, Georgia departed this life Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. from the Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Highway 91, Newton, Georgia. Rev. W.B. Sales is the pastor and will provide the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Floral Memory Gardens, 120 Old Pretoria Road, Albany, Georgia.  His remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour. The family will receive relatives and friends at 2129 Colquitt Avenue, Albany, Georgia.

    Our warmest sympathies goes to you and yours in these difficult moments. May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
