Mr. Charles Edward Hart was born January 22, 1934 in Gaston County, North Carolina and departed this life on Saturday; June 30, 2018 at his home in Mount Holly, North Carolina.  He was the son of the late Mary Jane Hart of Mount Holly, North Carolina.

Charles was a longtime resident of Kendrick Square where he had many friends.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother: Georgiana S. Hart, two brothers: John Pullings and Peter James Pullings; three sisters: Ida Mae Bryant, Georgia Esther “Joe” Hart and Mary “Mae” Brooks.

He leaves eternal memories to his brother: Michael Hart (Sharon) of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sisters: Tommie Murray (Bobby) of Gastonia, North Carolina and Iris Graham of Charlotte, North Carolina; special friend and caregiver: Linda Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service: Thursday; July 5, 2018; 1:00 p.m.; Gregory Funeral Service Chapel-601 N. York Street, Gastonia

Visitation: thirty minutes before the service at the chapel

    Our warmest sympathies goes to you and yours in these difficult moments. May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
