He was educated in the Upson County School System. Later in life, he decided to further his education by attending Flint Technical College. He received a diploma in Commercial Truck Driving and Heating and Air (HVAC). He was also a certified Correctional Officer.

John was loved and respected by everyone he encountered. God blessed him with a joyful heart, which he shared with everyone he met. To know John was to love him. He was blessed with many, many talents, which he shared , along with his knowledge with everyone he came in  contact with. He received his greatest hoy spending time  with family (nieces and nephews) and friends. He was always the life of every occasion. Regardless of what you were going through, he could always make you laugh. He also enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes, and the Home Shopping Network. We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29). No, not just a dream, but for a certainty he will do it, for Isaiah 55:11 shows us that everything he says, he accomplishes without fail. You can find out more online at JW.ORG
