Life Reflection

Mr. Ager Dewand Linder was born in Camden, New Jersey, on April 1, 1952 to Mrs. India Anita Linder and Ager Lindre Sr. He was one of three children reared in a military home. He graduated from Ballard Hudson Senior High in 1970. He attended Indiana University Bloomington.

He joined the United States Arm on January 13, 1975, in Atlanta, GA.  He served eighteen years and eleven months. He dedicated twelve years to foreign service. He served on a tour in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He received medals for decorated serviceman, earning a Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal, four Overseas Service Ribbons, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, and many other honors. He retired from the military on December 31,1993, and returned back to Macon, GA. He was employed with the state of Georgia as a correctional officer for 10 years. He also was employed with the Caterpillar Incorporation until May 2017.

He will be remembered for his hard-working spirit, loving heart, for being a Devoted Husband, Family Man, Great Provider, Friend and especially a Jack of All Trades. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and fishing.

Ager and his wife, Shelia, loved the apple of their eye, their granddaughter, Jasmyn. He always made himself available to participate in every aspect of her life. He taught her very important life lessons.

Ager’s cherished memories will continue on in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Shelia Robinson- Linde of Barnesville; his mother, Mrs. India A. Jackson of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Mrs. LaTricia (LaTerance) Dixson of Barnesville; one granddaughter Miss Jasmyn Dixson  of Barnesville; one sister Mrs. Rhonda (Wendell) Stills of Washington D.C.; sisters-in-law Mrs. Janet (Charlie) Sullivan of Milner, GA, Mrs. Nycula (Bishop Jessie) Randle of Lake City, FL, Mrs. Geraldine (James Lovett) Shannon of Forsyth, Mrs. Delores (Horace) McClarin, and Ms. Betty Phinazee, both of Barnesville, two brothers-in-law, Mr. Ray Robinson, Mr. Herman (Lenora) Robinson of Barnesville, aunt, Mrs. Lucille Murray of Macon, ; god-daughter, Mrs. Tamisha  (Roger) Murphy of Barnesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other siblings, cousins, and many dear friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral Services were held June 21, 2018

    We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. May you find strength from the words of Philippians 4:13 which says: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
