Although no words can ease the loss you bear or even heal the pain you may feel, the love of God can ease and comfort with the passage of time. Just know that your family is very close in my thoughts and prayers. Mildred was my friend and I admired her strength of character, her dedication to help others (not wanting the spotlight) and her faith. I will continue to be inspired by the actions she took and the things she said while she was alive. I treasure all the times we shared talking, sharing and working side by side as charter members of Ladies in Action. She will forever live in my memories.

2 Corinthians 5:8 reads "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord". To the family, may the promises of God give you hope and comfort during this difficult time of loss. Mrs. Mildred was such a beautiful, loving and giving example of a Christian woman. May her memory live on through her continued works by the many seeds she planted while alive. God bless you.

Torya, Please know that our prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time. You can find solace in the following scriptures: John 16:22 “So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. May God continue to bless you and your family. Always your friend and brother, Vern Harris

It saddens us to know you are mourning the loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 34:18. It reads: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). What a joy it will be to welcome back to life your loved ones who are asleep in death!! You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
