George C. Dawson, Jr., 55, of New Bern died Thursday, May 16, 2019 in Fayetteville, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Earnestine & Richard Fonville 2401 Aycock Avenue, Pembroke Community.
His service is 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Macedonia M. B. Church 550 NC Hwy. 55 W., New Bern. The interment with military honors will follow at the Dawson Cemetery.
He is survived by his one son; DeJaneiro Styron, Fort Walton Beach, FL; three daughters, Seyquia Dawson Guion, New Bern, NC, Serenna Dawson and DeAndrea Dawson, Greensboro, NC; his mother Earnestine Dawson Fonville and step-father, Richard Fonville of New Bern, NC; two brothers, Donovan "Don" Dawson, New Bern, NC, Eric T. Dawson, Vanceboro, NC; five sisters, Hattie D. Simpson, New Bern, NC, Pamela Dawson, Jacksonville, NC, Tracy D. Walker, Citrus Springs, FL, Angela D. Blake, Jacksonville, NC, Shannon Dawson, New Bern, NC.

PLEASE KNOW THAT OUR HEAVENLY FATHER JEHOVAH GOD UNDERSTANDS YOUR SUFFERING AND HE CARES ABOUT YOU FOR HE TOO EXPERIENCED THE LOSS OF HIS SON CHRIST JESUS WHOM HE RESURRECTED BACK TO LIFE. 2 CORINTHIANS 1:3,4. What a loving God who cares about each one of us.
He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
