Frankie Carvana Wallington heard that clear still voice of God and answered, “Here I am” and entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2019 surrounded with a host of family at his side.  His funeral will be held 12:00Noon at Cedar Grove Tabernacle of Praise, 612 Norwalk Street, Greensboro, NC. Visitations will start 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Frankie was born to the late Frank Thompson, Jr. and Sheldia Walltington on September 12, 1959 in Greensboro, NC.  He was the middle child of the three children born to his parents and later adopted by his step-father, Odell Wallington.  He is predeceased by his sister Cynthia Wallington Williams.

Frankie accepted Christ under Pastor James Johnson at Cedar Grove. He enjoyed driving and one of his last employments was with Morgan and Sons Busing Company.  He attended Washington Street Elementary School, Lindley Junior High School and graduated from Ben L. Smith High School. “Spankie” as he was fondly called by his close and special cousins knew he liked spending time with them. Anyone who knew him, knew he was a dedicated Cowboys Fan. He was a family man who was full of wisdom, insight and most of all, his favorite saying was, Bless Your Heart.”

Frankie’s memory will be cherished and shared for generations to come by his surviving children: Keshia Thompson, Chico Austin (LaShea), Frankie Austin (CaTina), Baby Girl- Tiffany Hinson (Pastor Ronald Hinson, II); his parents, Odell and Sheldia Wallington; brother, Raynard Wallington (Gloria); eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

May you find comfort and strength in knowing that God loves you and he cares for you, through talking to God in prayer, and from God's Word, the Bible. Psalm 36:7 says: "How precious your loyal love is, O God! In the shadow of your wings, the sons of men take refuge." Psalm 62:8; "Pour out your hearts before him. God is a refuge for us." Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 34:18; Psalm 147:3)

We are saddened to know you are grieving the recent loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in the words found in Psalms 34:18 which reads: “ Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15 Isaiah 55;11). See and imagine yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at JW.ORG
