Carlene Jones White, 67, a native of Pamlico County died Saturday, February 2, 2019 in New Bern.
A celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel 1700 Oscar Drive.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Ponds and Larry Ponds, Jr. both of Greensboro, NC; grands and great grandchildren; a host of sisters and brothers.

To the family of Carlene. I am sorry to learn of her passing as she was one of my best friends. . The pain is tremendous even with the passage of time. There are scriptures in the Bible to help provide relief of grief and distress. Carlene was a dear cousin who grew up with me like a sibling. Paul, Larry Jr. and family, take comfort in knowing that Carlene is safe in Jesus' arms.

May you find strength and some comfort in the words found in Nahum 1:7 which reads: ”Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14).
