He was born in Lincoln County, NC on July 27, 1927 to Betty Jo Bowden Whitworth

Funeral Service is Friday, January 11, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
