William Garland Squires of New Bern died Wednesday, December 18, 2018 at Pruitt Health-Neuse, New Bern.

His service his 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel.  The interment will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery, Merritt.

He is survived by his grandsons, Chrisopher and Johnta Squires.

    My sincere condolences for your family. I am so sorry for your loss. Remember that God promises at Rev. 21:4: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Remember God cares about you and he will never abandon you. Isaiah 41:10: Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.
