To The Family, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I also want to share the comfort of John 5:28,29 where we are promised that those who have fallen asleep in death have the hope of receiving a "resurrection" back to life. Life on an earth restored to a beautiful paradise. Psalms 37:11 says, "The meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." While we await that wonderful time please find comfort in these promises.

My heart goes out to the Corbett Family for the loss of "Donnie". My fondest memory dates back to our teenage years in Thomasville ,GA where we attended Doughass High School. Together we played on the basketball team and had great times. Donnie was a scholarly. "fun-loving" kid through out high school. He will be sorely missed. I ask God's blessings on the Corbett children as you observe this Celebration of Life. Donnie was a good man and will be missed.

To the Corbett family, I hated to hear of Coach Corbett's passing, know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you all not just now but also down the road. Coach(he will always be my coach) Corbett taught me so much not just about basketball, but also about life. When he told you to do something on the court, he wanted you to do exactly that and it started in practice. He always reminded us that if you worked hard in practice, the games would be easy. He also expected that same effort from us in the class room that we gave on the court, give it your all and you will be successful in all other aspects of your life. Coach Corbett taught a lot of young men how to be real men not only on the basketball court, but in life. He will be truly missed here on earth. To the children, thank you for sharing your father with us, he taught me so much about the game and how to live your life after you are finished with your basketball career, he will always be my coach. Love you Coach.

I had the utmost respect for Don Corbett as a coach and as a person. I covered many of his games at A&T for the News & Record. Win or lose, he was always honest and direct. I know Don cared deeply for his family and was very proud of their accomplishments. My deepest sympathy to the family. He will be sorely missed.

We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
