The proud parents named their bundle of joy, Jerry Fitzgerald Dennis. Jerry  and his six siblings shared a kindred spirit of love and admiration towards one another that will span a life time.  He attended school in the San Augustine Public School System and graduated in 1986 from San Augustine High School. In 1992, Dennis decided to move to Nacogdoches, Texas-after sometime-finally made Fort Worth, Texas his home. Dennis felt the desire to serve his country and served four years with the United States Armed Forces, Division of the Army. He was baptized at an early age and was a faithful member of Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church for 10 years and in 2013, he made Graceway Church, under the leadership of Pastor Donald Morrison, his home. Dennis met a beautiful young lady by the name of Christy Mitchell and the two were wed. The two were an ideal couple who shared a lot of great times with one another. They were inseparable…for she loved and adored him and he was head over heels in love with her. They were blessed with the best gift any couple could share with one another-five wonderful children, Tiffany, Brittany, Cortney, Jerry, Jr., and Alexis. In Dennis’ past time he showed an interest in sports and of course his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. To know Dennis was to know he had a sincere love for his family. He enjoyed spending time with them as well friends. He worked for AT&T Stadium for six years  and later at Penny Mac Mortgage for five years. Long live the spirit and personality of Dennis. On August 2, 2018, Jerry F. Dennis feel asleep in the arms of his Savior and Lord and entered into heaven where every day will be Sunday and the angelic host will be sing for eternity. He is now reunited with his parents, Jessie Dennis and Mary Alice      Weathered Dennis  sisters, Mary Jene Dennis and Joey Dennis; and grandparents, Charlie and Luvenia Weathered. The pain of not having him here with us is unbearable painful, but I believe we are better people because of the time we did know him. Cherished Memories are left in the hearts of his beloved wife, Christy Dennis; children, Tiffany Dennis, of Arlington, Texas, Brittany     Dennis, of Tyler, Texas, Cortney Dennis of Tyler, Texas, Jerry F.   Dennis, Jr. of Arlington, Texas and Alexis Dennis, of Arlington, Texas;  eight grandchildren; siblings, Jessie Dennis, Claudene Sales (Vincent), Cheryl Carter, and Paul Dennis-all of Fort Worth, Texas; special aunts, Sallie Dennis, of San Angelo, Texas and Marie Mitchell of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29). No, not just a dream, but for a certainty he will do it, for Isaiah 55:11 shows us that everything he says, he accomplishes without fail. You can find out more online at JW.ORG.
