On October 24, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, Robbye Jo Jones was born to proud parents Fredrick Douglas Jones and Seporah Brown. She grew up in a loving home with her two sisters, Anne and Josie. The family later relocated to Midland, Texas. A time to learn... She attended school in Midland, Texas and was a proud graduate of Carver High School. She went on to further her educational endeavors at Tarrant County Junior College and obtained her Associates Degree in Accounting. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved... She accepted Christ at an early age and after moving back to her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, she joined herself to the saints at Beth Eden Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. B.R. Daniels, Sr. A time to cherish… Robbye was blessed to become a mother and proudly named her gift from God, Tami. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was overjoyed when she became a grandmother to Darryl and Tamika. She loved spending time with them and later with her great grandchildren. Her smile, her laugh, the sparkle in her eyes, those memories are all so vivid.  Her stern voice of consternation, her gentle voice of consolation, her tone of reassurance and encouragement will live on forever.  A time to die… On July 18, 2018, Robbye exchanged her earthly life for her heavenly life. She is now reunited with her parents; Fredrick Douglas Jones and Seporah Brown; daughter, Tami Jones; siblings, Anne Richards and Josie French. Leaving her legacy… She leaves her two grandchildren, Darryl Jones and Tamika Jones; six great grandchildren, two nieces and a host of other loving family members and friends.

We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29). No, not just a dream, but for a certainty he will do it, for Isaiah 55:11 shows us that everything he says, he accomplishes without fail. You can find out more online at JW.ORG.
